Server administrators should provide honest information about their servers and maintain fair, consistent rule enforcement.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate content that makes others feel unwelcome.

Compliance

All servers must comply with Bohemia Interactive's Terms of Service and our community standards.

Server Conduct Standards

Acceptable Server Practices

Honest and accurate server descriptions
Clear and consistently enforced rules
Respectful interaction with players
Regular server maintenance and updates
Transparent modding and gameplay modifications
Fair application of server rules to all players
Appropriate use of server advertising

Prohibited Server Practices

False advertising or misleading server information
Discriminatory rules based on race, gender, religion, or nationality
Excessive or inappropriate use of admin powers
Selling gameplay advantages or pay-to-win mechanics (outside approved monetization)
Harassment or targeting of specific players
Operating servers that violate Bohemia Interactive's ToS
Spam or excessive promotion across multiple platforms

Server Listing Requirements

All server information must be accurate and up-to-date. Misleading descriptions, fake player counts, or false advertising will result in immediate removal from our listings. Server owners are responsible for maintaining accurate information about their servers.

Server Administration Guidelines

Content and Behavior Policy

TopDayZServers maintains strict policies regarding inappropriate content and toxic behavior. These policies apply to all server listings, descriptions, reviews, and community interactions on our platform.

Prohibited Content

Hate Speech & Discrimination

Racist, sexist, or discriminatory language
Slurs or derogatory terms targeting any group
Content promoting hatred or violence against individuals or groups
Discriminatory server rules or practices

Sexual & Inappropriate Content

Sexually explicit descriptions or imagery
Inappropriate usernames or server names
Content targeting or sexualizing minors
Graphic violence beyond DayZ's normal gameplay

Harassment & Toxicity

Personal attacks or threats against other users
Doxxing or sharing personal information
Coordinated harassment campaigns
Encouraging others to harass or target individuals

Illegal & Harmful Content

References to illegal drug use or distribution
Promotion of self-harm or suicide
Instructions for illegal activities
Copyright infringement or intellectual property theft

Bohemia Interactive Terms of Service

Compliance Required

All servers listed on TopDayZServers must comply with Bohemia Interactive's DayZ Terms of Service. Violation of Bohemia's ToS will result in immediate removal from our platform.

Prohibited Activities Under Bohemia ToS

Game Modification Violations

Using unauthorized cheats, hacks, or exploits
Distributing or promoting cheat software
Reverse engineering game files for malicious purposes

Network and Server Violations

Attempting to disrupt Bohemia's network services
Using exploits that affect the central hive
Distributing malware through server modifications

Intellectual Property Violations

Using copyrighted content without permission
Distributing game assets outside of approved methods
Creating derivative works that violate copyright

Acceptable Server Operations

Private Shard Operations

Operating private shard servers with proper configuration and approved modifications.

Approved Modifications

Using officially supported modding tools and community-approved modifications.

Community Management

Managing server communities within the bounds of acceptable behavior policies.

Reporting ToS Violations

If you believe a server is violating Bohemia Interactive's Terms of Service, please report it immediately. Include specific details about the violation and any evidence you may have. We take these reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

DayZ Server Monetization Rules

Official Bohemia Monetization Policy

From December 1st, 2015, approved server operators may monetize their DayZ private shard servers according to specific guidelines. Permission expires on January 31st, 2026.

Allowed Monetization Practices

Server Access Fees

Allowed: Charging players to access your server, provided fees and perks do not affect gameplay.

Must be on separate hive or identical rules to free servers
Cannot provide gameplay advantages to paying players
Access can be limited to paying players only

Advertising & Sponsorship

Allowed: Product placement, in-game advertising, and sponsorship agreements.

Must not interfere with core gameplay mechanics
Should be clearly identified as advertising
Cannot mislead players about game content

Donations

Allowed: Accepting donations to support server operations.

Not providing donations must not prevent server access
Cannot restrict content based on donation status
Voluntary contributions only

Cosmetic Items & Perks

Allowed: Selling cosmetic items and perks that don't affect gameplay (modded servers only).

Only applies to servers with modding support
Must be purely cosmetic with no gameplay impact
Cannot provide competitive advantages

Prohibited Monetization Practices

Pay-to-Win Mechanics

Selling weapons, equipment, or any items that provide gameplay advantages

Mandatory Payments

Requiring payment for basic server functionality or standard game features

Public Hive Monetization

Any monetization of public hive servers (rules apply only to private shards)

Unapproved Server Monetization

Monetizing servers without being listed on Bohemia's approved monetization list

Requirements for Monetization

Official Approval Required

Server operators must be registered, approved, and listed on https://www.bohemia.net/monetization/approved/dayz to engage in any monetization activities.

Important Notice

Bohemia Interactive reserves the right to remove servers from the approved list if they exploit loopholes or act against community interests. Unauthorized monetization may result in legal action.

Permission expires January 31st, 2026

Bohemia ToS Violations

Report servers using cheats, hacks, or violating intellectual property rights.

Cheating Exploits Copyright Issues

Admin Abuse

Report administrators who abuse their powers or treat players unfairly.

Power Abuse Favoritism Unfair Bans

Inappropriate Content

Report content that violates our community standards or contains inappropriate material.

Hate Speech Harassment Explicit Content

False Advertising

Report servers with misleading descriptions, fake player counts, or false information.

Fake Info Misleading Ads False Claims

How to Report

Visit Server Page

Go to the server's details page and click the "Report Server" button.

Select Category

Choose the most appropriate report category for the violation.

Provide Details

Give a detailed description of the violation with specific examples.

Submit Report

Our moderation team will review your report within 24-48 hours.

Effective Reporting Tips

Provide Evidence

Screenshots, logs, or other evidence help our team investigate reports more effectively.

Include Timestamps

When possible, include dates and times when violations occurred.

Be Specific

Provide specific examples and details rather than general complaints.

Stay Professional

Keep reports factual and professional, avoiding personal attacks or emotional language.
